best laid plans...
it sucks when the best possible plans you made fail... it sucks even more when you lay them, and you screw them up yourself... it sucks the most when you do that consciously, knowing that the best you can do at the end is write a sucky post about it...

tag...
... i have extensively read only three-four blogs and I personally know only a couple of bloggers. It has so happened that both these people have actually posted exactly one of our conversations. So now I am just passing on the favour...
ladies, if you ever happen to read this post, and if you feel indignant and thoughts like 'this guy is such an asshole, he's actually written this...' etc... you can take a hike.
this three year old i know is from a vegan family and had just joined school. her mom made some dish containing cottage cheese. She realized her neighbors in school were not vegans when her kid said - 'mom this chicken is awful'.
this is a friend of embarassing herself-
'have u seen any episodes of scrubs?'
'umm no'
'well theres there are these kick-ass characters ok .. i mean they act
really well.. sarcastic n funny .. john dorian perry cox etc etc
and i was chatting with a friend the other day and wen we were talking abt scrubs ... he asked me my favourite character n i said
"man i simply love cox"

the metric system...
the metric system sucks when you have to measure your weight in kilos.. and yeah if your weight happens to be a three digit number.
this colleague of mine and I joined up the gym at our workplace.
he was like.. 'dude whats your weight'
i'm like.. 'i'm not telling'
'neither am I..'
And then we each get on to a tradmill. these are not those cheap ones where you can get away with not entering your weight. No sir, this one will not even start unless you enter your wight. So we get on and-
'beep beep beep'
and we grin at each other sheepishly.
wtf, if we used pounds then almost everyones weight would be in 3 digits. people would look at you abnormally if only two beeps came out when youre on the treadmill - 'dude, wtf do you need to workout on a treadmill'
recently a couple of friends and I were on a conference call. we were discussing health and us growing old, when one of the chaps had to go away for a second. this other guy asks me what my wight was. and before i could answer the second guy comes back and listens in. he's not heard what the question is.
I am like '...'
the second guy says 'dude, you're having high fever. you should sleep a while'
and the third guy is like 'dude that's his f$%*(ng weight, not temperature'
and then they go down memory lane recalling my apetite etc.

forbidden love...
the dogs in my street make a lot of noise all through the night. I've often been tempted to blow them out to hell with a curare dart . Until I discovered why they were creating all the ruckus...
recently it seems one of the dogs in my street started undergoing her oestrous cycle. In plain words, it looks like she's a bitch in heat. it seems one of the dogs from the neighbouring streets had taken a fancy for her. Probably not because the bitch was all that attractive. The more likely reason the dog had dared to cross the line was probably becuase of lack of supply in his street.
there's this park a couple of streets away which is very popular for amorous exchanges... of all sorts. looks like dog had taken bitch out for a date. this seems to have continued unnoticed for sometime, until the dogs in my street realized and became insecure. and so they are trying their best to cut short the romance.
since we are not so different, i started thinking about the possible repercussions of human intervention. in our story, regardless of who gets the girl, she's going to get humped and dumped. if the puppies are born in the neighbouring street, it makes no difference to me. but if one of the dogs in my street gets to do it with her, it may not be consensual and hopefully due to the stress will not result in a new generation of noisy dogs...

"oh yeah, that guy!!! fantastic..."
"you remember this girl.. she got placed in... she's gonna earn this much money..."
"no i don't remember her. who's she again?"
"she was studying in... department. she used to hang out with these people..."
"er... no?"
"her face looks like a witch's"
"ohh.. that girl!!!"

cat laid an egg...
... this happened when we were 6 years old...
...in school, during recess three of us were standing by the window. Our classroom was on the ground floor, and the rear compound wall was a couple of metres behind the window. In between there was sand.
...while we were watching, a cat came by, dug a hole, did its job and went away after covering it up. Being kids, and not knowing the finer details of how animals multiply, one of us said... "cat laid an egg..." and the rest of us agreed.
a few days layer, the sand area was cemented and we felt bad that the "eggs" were lost. It was after 3-4 years later that we realized what the eggs were...
